2011 Music in the Park Schedule | Plymouth, MI
Spring is here, we think and the official start to summer is nearly here. In Plymouth, this can only mean that the Music in the Park on Friday nights is back!
From the Plymouth Downtown Development Authority, here are the dates and acts for the 2011 Music in the Park series. Remember, concerts start at 7:00 pm each Friday. In case of inclement weather, be sure to check the DDA’s website or Facebook page.
June 3 – Justine Blazer — recently awarded the Dodge Ram Trucks “Country Band of the Year” award.
June 10 – The Sound Alternative — plays the hits.
June 17 – Shawn Riley Band — perennial favorite of rock and pop tunes – and they are local boys from Northville.
June 24 – The Crutches — party band hailing from Spartan-country – tons of dance tunes with a few surprises.
July 1 – Zap Toro — Prepare to be amazed as the guitar talents of Kris Kurzawa and Sean Blackman take you around the world for a night of bossa nova and groove music.
July 8 – NO SHOW – ART IN THE PARK
July 15 – Steve King and the Dittlies — the King of Detroit rock and roll.
July 22 – Gia Warner Band — nationally-recognized songwriter, performer and voice artist – also multiple Detroit Music Award winner.
July 29 – The Bluescasters — Blues.
August 5 – Those Delta Rhythm Kings — The best of Jump Blues and Swing music for your dancing (and listening) pleasure.
August 12 – Michael King & Friends — All American Rock ‘n’ Roll plus some originals from one of the most talented songwriters / composers / scorers in the Midwest.
August 19 – Mass Transit Band — hits and party.
August 26 – Randy Brock Group — Randy and his band bring you the best guitar-driven blues set north of Texas.
September 2 – Lady Sunshine and the X Band — soul/funk/R&B.
